Don't you just HATE it when your looking for somone who did a design you liked, I was looking for the guy who did my black dahlia murder t-shirts,
and I couldnt find anything out about him, so I gave up on that and started to look at album art that I liked and trying to find the artist who did them couldnt find out anywhere, untill I came up with the genius idea of going on wiki and looking at the album and seeing who the album artist was ..... why I didnt think about this after 2 days of searching and almost coming to the point of emailing the band to ask them who did it.
When I found out who the artist was I found out that he had also produced other work that I knew and found out that it was the same guy that did my Black dahlia murder t-shirts.
The first one if you dont know it is, A Day To Remember, album: Homesick
So I was kicking myself that I didnt know who it was sooner or recongise his style seen as I see it everywhere
This is work he did for the Gallows
This is from the singles that were released from this album
<3 love his work, its so detailed and colourfull heres a link to his personal website, its full of his work for bands and his own personal stuff, he also keeps a blog wich is very intresting into how he does his work and places he goes http://www.dan-mumford.com/
a blog created to reflect on and document the manifestation of myself as a better and more creative entity during my time studying.

Easy art
Someone shared this website thought it was very cool, its software you can download and it runs in the background and follows where your mouse goes and creates lines untill you tell it to stop, creates little circles that get bigger the longer you leave your mouse in that spot, creates some pritty funky stuff :]

Fonts are fun
Ive been getting bored at home and find myself doodling, its normally just lines or random stuff but recently ive been writing letters and words and just getting used to making random stuff up so far it seems to be just random gothic styles, so i decided to neaten up one of the letters and just show thought process and then the final one
think im going to look at different types of font and give more rounder bubbly fonts a go see what i can come up with

Planning next New york visit
Last time I went New york it was with college, we went for 4 days, its was good but it felt abit rushed, we got woke up and had to be out for 10am to go on tours, it was good but we didnt really get to do much.
So when I heard we were going to New york with uni I thought that I would plan some places to visit, places ive heard about and seen on tv, places I want to go again because I was to busy to notice things last time I went.
So to start off I was watching a tv program about art auctions around the world, and they were looking at new art work in New york and they stopped at a toyshop (well what looked like a toyshop) and it was full of cool little figures that artists have designed and made themselfs, I forgot the name of the shop so I went on a hunt and found some cool shops/galleries that arnt like the MOMA.
Theres:

A cool toy shop with loads of old and new artist designed toys located south of Manhattan island

Then I found this gallery that has shows and shows off artists work that you can buy if you want called Gaint Robot

Located south of the island to the east side

Lost forever
I installed windows 7 on my laptop because it kept braking and being slow, so I put my work on my external hardrive 250gb one, at the same time I was clearing my pc of work because i was going to fromat my hardrive and clean it up because it has been running slow playing games recently, when I finished doing all the installing and cleaning I then plugged in my external hardrive to only get a message saying it cannot be read and needs to be re-formated .... I knew that I couldnt because then I would loose all my work, pictures and music that i put on there while I was cleaning my pc and laptop, knowing that I didnt have a copy of any of the things that I just put on it I started to worry then search high and low for answers only to find that my external hardrive has only ever been working on my pc since I last formated it from FAT32 to NTFS didnt realise that I hadnt unplugged it since then and aparently it didnt format it proply and would only ever work on my pc since it knew information about it other machines didnt because it was the machine to format it, so when I unplugged it and put it in my laptop and i got the error message it broke .... This ment that the only way to fix it was to format it and loose all the files I had on it =[
glad it didnt happen on a deadline day or while I was doing work, im normally a safe person and have at least 3 copies of work, just so happend that I put all those 3 copies onto the same hardrive while i was cleaning the other ones, lost 80% of my first year at uni :\ OWELL

Final grid system
This is the final picture for the grid system brief, edited smudges out and edited the colours down abit because it was too bright
typography work grid system
This is the end result of a design for my uni brief for using the grid system in your work, I didnt really have the grid system visible in my work but there are hints of it all over the picture.
This was when i finished all my buildings and clouds and was choosing a colour to have for my monster in the background of the city.
This was close to the end result, i chose a colour for my monster, bright green, the picture is abit bright because it is un edited and I used 2 lights and a flash gun to take the picture
New york edit's
